What Say Ye, Bum and Scum, Today?
May 2nd, 2011 | Add a Comment
Do you remember the period, during President Obama’s administration, when former Vice President Cheney was accusing the new president of conducting a foreign policy based on weakness and conciliation, a foreign policy guaranteed to result in more terrorist attacks on the United States? Granted, Cheney’s smears were part of a campaign to rehabilitate the Bush/Cheney regime and prompt Americans to forget that the worst terrorist attack in American history occurred during their “watch” — as well as to forget that Bush and Cheney had left office without capturing the leader of that attack, Osama bin Laden. Do you remember when the Bush/Cheney regime pulled resources out of Afghanistan – thus hamstringing its very attempt to capture bin Laden — in … Read entire article »

A Great Achievement for a Decent, Civilized United States of America
March 22nd, 2010 | Add a Comment
America’s Democrats, under the inspirational leadership of President Barack Hussein Obama, have single-handedly guaranteed that some 32 million additional Americans will become eligible for health insurance, beginning in 2014. Single-handedly, Democrats have guaranteed that insurance companies no longer can deny coverage to children with pre-existing medical problems, a guarantee that will be extended to all adults in 2014. Single-handedly, Democrats have guaranteed that the so-called “doughnut hole” in the Medicare prescription drug benefit will close. Single-handedly, Democrats have guaranteed that Medicaid will expand to cover incomes up to 133 percent of the national poverty level ($29,327). Single-handedly, Democrats have guaranteed that, beginning in 2014, small businesses, the self-employed and the uninsured can select a plan from state … Read entire article »

By Playing its Iraq Card, Russia Exposes McCain’s Poor National Security Judgment
September 11th, 2008 | Add a Comment
John McCain is a blowhard and a fraud. Behind his strained, twinkling-eyed smile is a man set to explode, especially whenever anyone threatens to expose him. As former CIA counterterrorism expert, Michael Scheuer, put it: McCain’s “a little man with mediocre intelligence, a taste for bullying, and an appalling temper who thinks the presidency is his birthright.” At his blowhard worst, Senator McCain will tell you, as he did in June 2008, “Look, I know the area. I’ve been there. I know wars. I know how to win wars, and I know how to improve our capabilities so that we will capture Osama Bin Laden – or put it this way, bring him to justice. We will do … Read entire article »

Barack in Iraq
July 21st, 2008 | Add a Comment
More than five years after the Bush administration’s March 2003 illegal and immoral invasion and occupation of Iraq, many of the Americans who initially were duped into supporting this worst of U. S. foreign policy blunders are finally beginning to recognize the wisdom of the cliché, “It’s always easier to start a war than end it.” That cliché has proven to be especially applicable to the current Bush administration, because it launched a war of choice without formulating a plan (called Phase IV in military parlance) about what to do after Saddam Hussein’s regime was toppled. According to Army historian, Maj. Isaiah Wilson, even as late as 1 May 2004 (more than a year into the occupation) there was “no single … Read entire article »

Barack Obama: Don’t go “Wobbly” on Iraq!
June 30th, 2008 | Add a Comment
Do you remember the assault against NAFTA leveled by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton as they campaigned for votes in Ohio? Remember how one tried to outdo the other with promises to Ohio’s blue collar workers to revisit, perhaps reopen, that trade agreement, in order to make changes that would level the playing field for American workers and farmers? Well, Hillary’s rhetoric helped her to win the Buckeye State, although it rang opportunistic to many who remembered her support for NAFTA during her husband’s presidency. But, now – after defeating Hillary and after becoming the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for President – we’ve learned that Senator Obama’s rhetoric on NAFTA was just as insincere as Hillary’s. In his recent interview with … Read entire article »

To Understand Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Recall Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
April 29th, 2008 | Add a Comment
Today, Senator Barack Obama felt compelled to disassociate himself from his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Not only from the snippets of Rev. Wright’s sermons – largely taken out of context by vile humans like Sean Hannity at FOX News, in order to smear Senator Obama – but also from his speech at the National Press Club yesterday, as well as from anything Rev. Wright might say in the future. It appears to be an irreparable breach. Brainless partisans, such as those who further abuse their already limited intellectual faculties by watching O’Reilly and Hannity on FOX, will hear much about the tactics behind Obama’s move, as well as repetition ad nauseam about how poorly Obama’s ties to Rev. Wright … Read entire article »

An Ersatz Christian Smears Obama with a Willie Horton-type Ad
April 23rd, 2008 | Add a Comment
If you want to catch a glimpse of what’s morally wrong with a small segment of America’s conservative Christians, simply look at the antics of Floyd Brown. Mr. Brown, you might recall, was an author of the scurrilous Willie Horton ad broadcast across America in 1988, in order to smear the Democratic presidential candidate, Michael Dukakis. It was an ad designed to appeal to the worst in many Americans; fear based on ignorance, a lack of decency and racial bigotry. Now he’s launched another Willie Horton-type ad in North Carolina to smear Barack Obama. Lee Atwater, who fostered the Willie Horton ad, put it this way: “You start out in 1954 by saying ‘Nigger, nigger, nigger.’ By 1968 you can’t … Read entire article »

Featured Link: Framing Paterno
A website dedicated to the notion that an out of control news media has created a false narrative in the Jerry Sandusky scandal, which has effectively framed Joe Paterno for crimes he didn't commit and of which he may have had very limited knowledge.
